Happy Easter! This past Sunday at Generations LA, we got to celebrate not just Jesus’ resurrection, but also the baptism of several of our friends from our UCLA and USC Acts2Fellowship and 4Corners student fellowships: Mark, Evan, Justin, Jalah, Mia, Amelia, Annie, and Samantha. It was powerful hearing them testify to how the gospel had personally impacted them during their time in college/grad school, taking them from prideful and angry to free in Christ, from self-centered to surrendered, and from deceitful to embraced by God’s love. Praise the Lord for how he’s been actively transforming lives right here in Los Angeles!

Welcome to Easter service!

We also heard a message based on John 20 about the impact of the Resurrection. Pastor Joe walked us through how the Resurrection is not only a historically verifiable event, but also impacts our present reality and gives us security for the future, as we can trust that all the sad and broken things in life will be made “untrue” in Him. Afterwards, we moved outside to celebrate all the baptisms, including an awesome fried chicken lunch and an epic water balloon fight at a nearby sports field at USC. It was the perfect way to cap off a day celebrating God’s love and greatest miracle and the joy and peace we have through Jesus.
