Gen College @ UCLA has launched a bunch of new initiatives this year—and there’s truly something for everyone. With this season’s unofficial theme being “beefing up our skills,” we’ve loved creating spaces for students to grow practically, spiritually, and socially.
First up: Let’s Cook This! Our new cooking workshop helped students level up their kitchen skills through fusion cuisine nights featuring everything from Korean-Mexican to Vietnamese-American dishes. Good food, new recipes, and even better company? Hard to beat.

We’ve also been getting active. Our new Grass Volleyball group pops up around the Hill with nets and open games for whoever wants to join, while Bible & Ball gives guys a space to hoop and spend time in God’s Word together.
Spring Quarter brought even more: Special Talks, a new mentor-led series helping students dive deeper into important topics. Our first talk covered apologetics—how to thoughtfully defend and explain your faith—and next up is AI in the Workforce, because yes, we’re all trying to survive the future job market together.
And finally: Finding Fika ☕ Our newest café-hopping group explores some of LA’s best coffee spots while building community along the way. With upcoming café hops in Hollywood, West LA, and K-Town, we’re very much entering our coffee-and-community era.

We’re so grateful for all the ways God has been growing our UCLA ministry this year. It’s been amazing meeting new students, building deeper community, and seeing so many people jump into new spaces together.
More to come soon 👀
