Generations LA is multi-ethnic, multi-generational Christian community following God together in Los Angeles. Our community consists of college students from USC, UCLA, and SMC, working professionals and grad students, and our youngest members - our children! Just as each of us came from different backgrounds and walks of life, we welcome both those who are looking for a community of Christ-followers and also those who are curious about Christianity and just want to learn!

Here are some quick FAQs:

Why are we called Generations LA?

Our name was inspired by 2 Timothy 2:1-2: “You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” There are four generations mentioned here by which the gospel was passed down: Apostle Paul; Timothy; “faithful men”; and “others”. We were inspired by this picture of the gospel being entrusted from one generation to the next, and that is our hope and prayer for our community as well.

What do Sundays at Generations LA look like?

Before doors open, we spend some time mingling, meeting new people, and grabbing a yummy pre-service treat - think iced tea…milk tea…bagels?? Once we head into service, we will start off with a time of worship, hear a thoughtful message from Pastor Joe, and on special occasions we get to hear stories from some of our members about how they experienced God at work in their lives. Afterwards, we will have lunch fellowship!
